Crushing and Screening at Dunwich Quarry for the Forestry Commission
To carry out all earthworks stripping topsoil/subsoil and creating new screening bunds, access road and entrance for a new quarry at Dunwich for Forestry England. We then worked out what type of cone crusher and screening plant was required to make a useable 50mm topping out of sea cobbles. This would be used on Forest haul roads throughout East Anglia and laid and compacted as required by our road building team. We also organised the haulage of approximately 12,000T delivered to a stockpile in Thetford Forest.

” I have always found them to be polite, accommodating, understanding, trustworthy, professional and committed to completing all works to a high standard.
The projects that I ask them to complete are often time bound and deadlines must be met; often our timber sales or recreation sites rely on works to be completed on time to avoid loss of income or inconvenience to customers.”

Construction of 2200m long Whiston Brook diversion to permit further gravel extraction. The works entailed excavation of a new 32m wide brooke diversion, including installation of four new culvert crossings with gabion baskets, also rip rap errosion armour in certain areas. A new armoured high pressure gas main matt had to be placed over the main across the base and up the sides of the new excavated profile.
We also carried out ongoing topsoil/subsoil stripping works as required, most of which goes directly into restoration of the site.

“I can only feedback positive feelings from both my perspective and from the operatives working on site for your companies and employees professionalism, commitment and work ethic, we have overcome many challenges together which would not have been possible without your commitment to the projects undertaken and your willingness to go above and beyond the project brief. These challenges were also overcame with your impressive levels of communication which allowed me to accurately understand an issue and be able to understand the steps that needed to be taken.“
